2003

In May, 2003, Eric Dyck and Ellen Marquardt visited the Maya Quiché Presbytery for the purpose of concluding the second renewal of the Partnership Agreement.  An addendum was also added to document our understanding of the guidelines for the application process and funding of proposed projects from our partners.

Ellen and Eric also studied the Spanish language for a week during this trip at an excellent language school in Xela, Centro Maya de Idiomas. They studied Spanish with a certified native speaker for five hour daily, and lived with families who spoke no English.
