Returned in fine form from the Wood reunion
yesterday evening. It was hot, but the wind was blowing so most outdoor
activities were comfortable weather-wise. I'm almost walking normal again
after the horseback riding; the water was cool for a refreshing swim; the
softball game was, as always, memorable with the "breeze", hot
hitters, great vistas and beautiful sunset; the talent contest featured
young comedians (had to be there); the midnight barbecue was great with the
Smith-Waters nachos added in; we had a good night's sleep in the air-conditioned
stone cabin; had a delicious brunch cooked by Bregg and Clarence and we ended up
with a worship service and meeting. The next chance for all this fun in
one weekend is July 4th weekend, 2005. Jean Waters is the coordinator.
Jeanne Mann is working on a Wood project and I'm working on the cookbook.
I've started a Fourth Generation memorial project fund in care of Camp
Wood.
